Background
Multiplex completed construction of the Charles Perkins Medical Research Centre located within Sydney University in Camperdown, in inner city Sydney. The Centre will provide a world-class research and education facility aiming to ease the burden of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease in Australia.
KRYFIX provided a range of Hyperseal Waterstops to this $385m project.
Solution
Hyperseal Waterstops including Hyperseal BR, Hyperstop DB and Hyperseal D230 were applied to the substantial basement slab of this project.
Hyperseal BR waterstops are a high-performance, hydrophilic butyl rubber waterstop which swells to form a long-lasting water- tight compression seal. It is suitable for static or low movement construction joints and cold-joints. Hyperstop DB is a hydrophilic bentonite waterstop for in-situ concrete construction joints. It is suitable for static construction joints, penetrations or nonmovement sections where there is any concern regarding water penetration. Hyperseal D230 is an externally placed PVC waterstop for construction or expansion joints.
