Background

Located at Austinmer in Wollongong’s northern suburbs, this development, completed by Stevens Group, comprises a hotel, restaurants and 61 serviced apartments. Krystol Group Pty Ltd provided KGM liquid membranes and Polyglass sheet membranes to this project.

KRYFIX provided Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) concrete admixture and Hyperseal Waterstops to this project.

Solution

KGM Liquid Membranes are coated over surfaces to form a seamless watertight finish and cures to provide you with dependable waterproofing protection.

KGM-100, KGM-200 and KGM-300 were applied to the outdoor terraces, retaining walls and bathrooms of the Headlands Hotel. KGM-100 is a moisture curing polyurethane membrane designed to waterproof most non-exposed external wet areas for above and below ground construction. KGM-200 is a water-based polyurethane membrane that is designed for both internal & nonexposed external applications. KGM-300 is a UV stable acrylic membrane formulated for both exposed and non-exposed outdoor applications.

Polyglass Polyfond Kit Drain was applied to the planter boxes. Polyfond Kit Drain is a stud membrane made from High Density Extruded Polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene which provides excellent rainwater drainage capacity.
