Located at Shellharbour in Wollongong, this large scale redevelopment included extension & refurbishment of the existing shopping centre. Stage 1 of this project comprised construction of a carpark & centre facilities & refurbishment to existing buildings. Stage 2 included construction of Kmart Auto, three level retail area, Coles, Kmart & a roof carpark. This $215m
project was completed by Multiplex for Stocklands making it the largest shopping centre in the Illawarra region.

KRYFIX provided Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) concrete admixture as well as Hyperseal BR and Hyperseal DB to this project.

Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) is a chemical admixture used for the treatment of concrete & concrete products to protect against water intrusion, leakage, cracking, chemical attack, & corrosion of reinforcing steel. Approx 10,000m3 of KIM was applied to the basement area, level 1 slabs, exposed carpark decks, plaza mall and concrete roof of the retail sector of this development.

Hyperseal BR is a high performance, hydrophilic butyl rubber waterstop, which swells to form a long-lasting water-tight compression seal. It is suitable for static or low movement construction joints, cold-joints and penetrations. Hyperstop DB swells upon contact with water to form a long-lasting compression seal in non-moving concrete joints. Hyperseal BR and Hyperstop DB were applied to the lift pits of this project.
